story.

'i had a dream'he began,
'a dream of the future....and.....everything was...like....clear, or reflective or perhaps blue.....im not sure now and, there were people....they were all carrying disc's special disc's that contained a record of their whole lives. and these people, they worked not for material wealth, but wealth of the soul and of the mind. and...' he continued his story for over an hour, as people wandered past involved in their own conversations or pre-occupied with what they were doing. eventually, he stopped talking mid sentence and slowly gazed around at the people passing before him, not even flashing a glance in his direction. He scratched his head then decided to walk to the nearest cafe, he hadnt eaten since breakfast and was growing rather hungry. he ambled along the high street until he arrived at the cafe next to the bank, he had always planned to try a meal in there as it looked surprisingly clean compared to the other eating establishments based in this town centre. He walked through the door and up to the counter, behind which stood a smiling old woman wearing a bright blue apron, he ordered a cup of tea and a fry up then took a seat at the table by the window.
